Jaggy boost to the charity fund.

My last week at work was a busy one. Lots of clients squeezing in lessons before waving me off on my big adventure. In addition I had to fit in a series of badly needed sports massages, pack a considerable amount of gear, tidy up all admin and of course ........ rest.
So when my friend Steven Patterson suggested I play with the guys (and girls) in the 4 day "Jaggy Classic" just before I leave I immediately and politely declined.
The Jaggy Thistle is a Bar in Santa Ponsa, Mallorca owned by friends of mine Charlie & Lesley Gilmour, a Scottish bar obviously!
Every year around this time they celebrate the beginning of the tourist season with a golf week.

Steven's idea was to raise some money this time around and give my charity fund a boost. I agreed to play of course, "I will make the time" I said.
So it was decided ...... the inscription fee for the 4 days was rounded up and we would have a raffle at the presentation dinner after the event.
The 1st day on my home course Golf Santa Ponsa II set the tone, all 3 money winners in the "sweep" immediately donated their winnings to the fund. This continued for all 4 days and it was obvious that the total would be substantially more than I first imagined.
I decided to bring some quality raffle prizes on the Sunday evening in an effort to show my gratitude.
From 36 players and a sizeable donation from The Jaggy itself I was presented with €1765 at the end of the night !!!!!

Enormous thanks to Charlie & Leslie, Steven and every single one of the players.
I have since converted the Euro to GBP and added the offline donations to the online total. I post this update just before leaving from Palma airport and the running total is an incredible ............... £4759
I know there are lots of you out there who have pledged but not yet got around to it, no time like the present?
Let's hit the 5k mark before I set off on Thursday morning ??? The donation button is at the top of this page.
For those who have already donated please share this blog with your friends and relatives to spread the word about The Road To Lisbon and raise as much as possible. Thank You!
